Eat Until You’re Full?Then Stop!

We live in the land of “all you can eat”.  It seems that everywhere you look, there are buffets, super size portions, bottomless pasta bowls.  When you eat at the homes of family and friends, chances are they urge you “Have some more!”  It’s no wonder this country is getting fatter all the time.  The key is to eat until you’re full –then stop!

The stomach is a very versatile organ.  It can stretch to accommodate larger than usual meals on occasion and then go back to its normal size.  But if you overeat too often, it will stay stretched and need more and more food to feel satisfied.  If you eat less, your stomach will shrink and require less food.

Eating less doesn’t mean starving yourself.  The key is to work with your body.

Your body sends out a sensation of hunger, which stimulates you to eat.  When your body senses that you have eaten enough, you get the sensation of being full.  The problem is that the body works slowly, and most people eat much too fast.  Eat more slowly.  Instead of wolfing down your food and going for seconds, savor the first portion. Give your stomach time to send out the “full” signal.

Eat until you’re full and then stop.  It doesn’t matter if you didn’t “clean your plate”.  Save any food that you didn’t eat.  If you find that you are frequently leaving food, take less to begin with.

A good way to judge what is comfortably full is to use a scale of 1-10, where 1 is being starved, and 10 is being so full you are in pain.  You should aim to end your meal somewhere around 6-7.  If you end up at 3-4, you will feel hungry in a short while and be tempted to eat again.

Eating until you’re full and then stopping will not only help you lose weight, but make you feel better.  Your hunger is satisfied, but you don’t feel bloated or sluggish.  And you’re not feeling guilty because you know you ate too much.

Learning to eat until you’re full—then stop, is just one of the factors in successful weight   loss.  If you would like to learn more, there is a program that will help you not only lose weight, but develop a whole new healthy life style.  To get started on this program today, click on http://finallyadietthatworks.com/loseweight.html

I am a lifelong dieter and have tried all kind of different methods to lose weight. I finally realized a basic principle–eat until full, then stop. Many people, myself included, tend to eat until we’re stuffed. Since I learned to eat until full, then stop, I have found my weight much easier to control.

Many people have experienced the benefit of green tea for health and weight loss. Increasing research has shown many benefits to the natural anti-oxidant rich plant. The increased interest in green tea has shifted to the hair and skin. New research is being done to study the effect of green tea on hair loss. Many of the antioxidants that are found in drinks can benefit from the hair and scalp and some research shows that by adding green tea in your diet can help control or prevent hair loss. The chemical in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). In Korea scientiest are researching hair follicles were treated with EGCG in a lab environment. Research Saitama Cancer Center Research Institute in Japan and Seoul National University College of Medicine both evidence that EGCG stimulates hair growth. The Saitama study reports that green tea inhibits the production of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF), a molecule that is linked to cancer, arthritis and hair loss. The experiement cultures showed increased hair growth and hair follicle elongation compared with control cultures.

A green tea tincture that 10 percent EGCG was also applied to the scalp of humans volunteers with positive results. A high intake of green tea leads to higher levels of six hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), a protein that binds to testosterone. Free testosterone travels through the bloodstream is able to come and hair follicles are converted into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that causes male pattern hair loss. Testosterone that is bound to SHBG can not be converted into DHT. Research also suggests that green tea can help with scalp conditions like dandruff and psoriasis by soothing skin and reducing inflammation.

How Natural Hair Loss Shampoos Can Help Stop Hair Loss

New approaches to hair loss are available. Natural hair loss is an unfortunate part of many people’s lives and there are increasing research in creating a hair loss cure. Hair loss (alopecia) is often caused by circulating hormones in the body that can cause reduced blood flow, nutrient absorption, and thinning hair follicles.

There will be a time when we look in the mirror and the character looking back is displaying symptoms of losing that dazzling full layer upon layer of hair that developed into a considerable ingredient of our identity. The initial response will be astonishment perhaps followed by some exploration of possible ways to isolate the potential reasons for the hair loss.

The majority of experts in the discipline of balding suggest that a blood test or scalp biopsy should be done to determine if underlying circumstances such as elevated blood pressure, diabetes, lupus or any other medical conditions are the cause.

The scalp biopsy will make known the dimension of the hair follicles when viewed beneath a microscope. Dwindling hair follicles are a significant clue in reducing the possible reasons for hair loss. The leading possible cause being androgenetic alopecia.

Androgenetic alopecia, popularly referred to as male and female pattern balding, is the hair loss source for an astounding nine out of ten situations. Its final consequence is to put an end to hair follicles making new growth unfeasible without some kind of interference.

In men the model of balding is very identifiable with hair loss frequently starting at the forehead or on upper part of the head in the direction of the back. A slight case of male pattern balding in males is established by a minor bald spot that appears on the crown with a retreating hair line. Radical cases are acknowledged by all of the hair on the upper part of the head being lost with a little hair being retained on the sides and back of the head.

For women, it is a completely different scenario due to dihydrotestosterone concentrations in the hair cell and ranges in scalp enzyme and hormone patterning. For the majority of women, hair loss starts on the uppermost part of the head and is typically a thinning of the hair as opposed to a total loss of hair. The hairline is usually not affected.

Undoubtedly the reasons for hair loss are wide ranging. However, the preponderance of continuing and progressing cases is diagnosed to be male or female pattern baldness. There are presently a small amount of hair re-growth products available which have been confirmed successful in both blocking destructive hormones and bringing the vital dead hair follicles back to life. To learn more about natural hair loss treatment and prevention Zenagen website is a patent-pending natural hair loss shampoo website and information.

These types of products may be used in cooperation as a preventative tool, if used early and prior to acute hair loss, or subsequent to noticeable loss of hair. Whatever the stage of balding or thinning you are experiencing specific products may perhaps be required to defeat this latest challenge.

In androgenetic alopecia, the genes influence how the hair grows. They activate an indifference to a class of hormones called androgens such as testosterone and the related hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which reduces the hair follicles. Decreasing follicles create thinner hair and ultimately none at all.

Consequently, androgenetic alopecia is the result of the body’s decrease of producing new hairs and not due to extreme hair loss. Heredity also plays a part in the age at which you start to lose hair as well as the rate, pattern and degree of your baldness.

Discover A New Revolutionary Method That Puts Your Weight Loss On Autopilot Quickly And Permanently Without Using Draining Diets Or Difficult Workout Programs.
New Unique Weight Loss Method.Weight Loss Diet Use Your Mind to Stop the Diet Wars

If you have lived the majority of your life overweight, you\’ve most likely tried countless weight loss programs, weight loss diets and a healthy dose of drugs and pills to boot. Anyone who has gone through these experiences know that the ultimate “diet killer” is your own lack of self-control and focus.

When it comes to weight loss you may secretly be your own worst enemy. Before we get started on that, let\’s look at the fact that accomplishing any goal, large or small, requires a mind that is clearly focused on the desired end.

What does that mean? It means turning self-talk into a positive advantage and using your rational mind to help fuel and motivate your efforts. After all, the choice is yours: let your mind sabotage your efforts or let it help inspire better eating habits and encourage healthy weight-loss outcomes.

If you\’ve tried losing weight or a weight loss program before, and have found it to be an uphill battle in which you lose a few pounds only to gain back several more, then it\’s time to break the psychological cycle that may be holding you back from your goal.

THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CYCLE OF WEIGHT GAIN

In a world where thin is in, it\’s not unusual for people who are overweight to carry the burden of lower self-esteem. Add to that the social stigma or prejudice that overweight individuals encounter and a psychological cycle for weight gain can be set in motion or unhealthy eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia) can develop. People, overweight as well as thin, often eat in response to stress, depression, loneliness and anxiety. This stress-induced or emotional eating can lead to weight gain which in turn leads to lower self-esteem, depression, and anxiety which leads to more stress-based eating and additional weight gain. It\’s easy to see how one can become trapped in a dangerous downward spiral and vicious cycle.

Compounding the problem is the fact that individuals who are overweight have less energy, and therefore find it harder to be active, so the risk of gaining weight again increases. A cycle of inactivity and further weight gain can develop: the less active person gains weight and so becomes less active, thereby gaining more weight and so on. Also, life stresses, which are normally alleviated through exercise, start building up which triggers more stress-based eating.

Individuals who try to lose weight and fail may feel depressed, frustrated and even guilty or ashamed and may rely on comfort foods as a way to feel better. The same is true of those who succeed in losing weight, only to gain it back. Anxiety, depression and guilt can produce a feeling of hopelessness that hinders efforts to lose weight.

This is why getting on the right weight loss program is CRUCIAL for successful weight loss. Whether it\’s a weight loss diet that you\’ve imposed on yourself or a program designed for your body, follow the next seven steps to break the psychological cycle of weight loss.

SEVEN STEPS TO BREAKING THE CYCLE

1. Stop Diet Deprivation. Diets and weight loss programs that put severe restrictions on what you can eat oftentimes arouse binge eating. While you may hold out for a while, one day you\’ll decide depriving yourself is not worth it, or you can\’t take it anymore, and you dig into the refrigerator, freezer or snack cabinet with a vengeance. Allow yourself small indulgences that are satisfying and will help you avoid harmful binging.

2. Plan Ahead. What if you should slip? The best way to avoid slipping is through pre-planning. So, if you\’re off to a backyard barbeque or family gathering decide ahead of time what your plan is. Eat something healthy and filling before you go out and then allow yourself a few special treats at the party, but exercise portion control. If you know that Aunt Mary is making your favorite dessert, plan on having a small slice and savor it. Managing your weight and enjoying life should go hand in hand.

3. Set Realistic Weight Loss Goals. To avoid the frustration of failing, don\’t overstress yourself with unrealistic weight loss goals. You gained weight slowly over time and it will take some time to gradually lose that weight. Slow, but sure is the best approach.

4. Choose Healthy Outlets for Emotions. Instead of opening the refrigerator when you\’re upset, how about phoning a friend, or take a walk. Discover something that makes you feel calmer or happier – something other than food or alcohol. Do yoga, dance around your living room, meditate or go out bowling with a friend.

5. Stop Harboring Hurts. Work through issues that are upsetting you. Talk to a therapist or even a friend. Don\’t let hurts, even old wounds or patterns that reach back into your childhood, affect you and your relationship with food.

6. Remember Why You\’re Dieting. It helps to stop and remember why you\’re dieting in the first place. Is it to have more energy, look and feel better, alleviate health problems or increase your self esteem? Keeping the goal in mind is critical to your weight loss success.

7. Use Your Mind to Break the Cycle. The fact is you can do it. It\’s all in your mind – the power to lose the weight rests with you. Believe you can succeed and you will succeed. If you want to put an end to the psychological cycle of weight gain, start by turning all of your negative self talk into positive affirmations. That\’s the best way to break the cycle.

Instead of saying: “Look at that fat belly. It just won\’t go away.” Think positive: “Yes, my belly is fat now, but it won\’t always be. I plan to be fit, not fat. I\’m heading to the gym after work today.”

Keep your goal in mind at all times. Write down your positive affirmations and put up visual reminders of what you want to attain – that dress you want to buy, that seaside resort you\’re longing to visit this year, or even a picture the happy person you want to be again. It\’s all within reach if you set your mind to it, keep active, exercise, and prepare healthy menus that you enjoy.

Use these seven steps to create a mental turnaround and break through the psychological barriers that are holding you back. If you do, you\’ll have the power to achieve permanent weight loss – something that will truly change your future and your life.
