Sports Fans Revolution

Sports Fans Revolution

Welcome to the “what’s in it for me” sports fan generation!
Darwin once stated; “….Natural selection acts only by taking advantage of slight successive variations; she can never take a great and sudden leap, but must advance by short and sure, though slow steps.” That’s why you cannot change things with extreme measures, as it’s perceived as a shock to the system. My favorite example is the car, look how the evolution of the Mustang has progressed since the ‘60’s to the Shelby GT 500 of today?
In my own opinion, that’s why internet gaming is taking it’s time to be accepted by the masses and the decision makers at the top, as gaming in all forms needs to be socially accepted by a large part of society, but it’s slowly getting there with the help of the poker, horse racing and fantasy league players.
Nortel Networks had a great slogan in the 90’s; “what do you want the internet to be?”
The same can be said with today’s sports world, it’s not like your fathers and grand father’s sports world anymore. During those years, nobody talked about salaries and they all had a favorite player and team. Since the evolution of the internet, today’s younger generation of fans want a different interest in sports and that’s why sports betting and fantasy leagues have taken away personal allegiances to sports teams. In today’s sports world, bettors and fantasy players care more about certain teams and players on certain nights. It’s all about “what’s in it for me” on this night, winning my wager or collecting some fantasy points!
The evolution of sports business and the way we watch sports is forcing us to make an investment into the sports we are watching and following. When you consider the sports fans are now paying to watch the game that is not in their local market, it’s forcing them to make a decision and an investment. Do you really think the average sports fan wants to pay 0 to 00 a year on special sports package because it’s a form of entertainment? Perhaps some will, but the majority of the younger and mid generations of sports fans are watching because they have a “special interest” in the game or event they are watching.
This is not about following a certain team or player anymore; this is about ones personal interest and outcome of a game. One of those forms of interest is sports betting, like it or hate it, it’s here to stay! The internet has taken away allot of the networks ad dollars away and that’s why you’re seeing the newspaper industry losing money each quarter. In fact, according to a report last week by Bloomberg, “newspaper advertising has now dropped eight straight quarters… The dollar volume fell to .43 billion, which sounds like a lot of advertising—until it is divided among all the nation’s local, regional and national papers.” Other reports suggest they haven’t seen such a decline since the early 80’s, which means the internet is playing a bigger role in all aspects and since the ad dollars aren’t picking up the tab anymore, it’s going to force the consumer to pay for their “on demand” entertainment, such as “sports watching”.
Which brings the question, when will the new “sports fan revolution” take place? If I’m going to spend 0 to 00 on sports packages and pay per view events, it has to be looked at in some form of an investment like one does in the stock market. Sports bettors or Fantasy league players, who invest in these sports package, want their piece of the pie in some way, so they can get their Return on Investment back! Players leave teams, they don’t care about you or the team; they care about the financial gains that will provide for their own personal growth. When the average sports fans realize it’s not about following a team or a player and more about satisfying your own needs, then the sports fans revolution will start to take place. When a player is a free agent or gets traded, do you really think they are taking the fans into consideration? Of course not, it’s about their own interest, just like bettors and fantasy sports fans look after their own interest when watching a game.
What can we expect in the future from our sports radio and TV stations? I see stations like ESPN, Fox Sports getting less popular, as the Sportscenter type shows will not match the newer shows who treat their shows like a stock market report, with a fantasy sports and betting angle incorporated. Instead of talking about last night’s game, look for sports handicappers and regular bettors playing a bigger role and hyping up the nightly games with gaming tips to help their own personal interest of the night. Plus, the whole sports media is turning everything into a “on-demand” world, so get ready to pay for listening to your favorite radio station and TV station within the next 7 to 10 years. Again, you can’t shock the “system” by making drastic changes, that’s why everything is done with baby steps, or else you will have a negative revolt from those who don’t want to pay or accept the new world order in sports.
There’s a new breed of sports fans out there today and they don’t care about who wins or lose, just as long as they cover the spread baby! Get ready to join the new sports fans revolution and like the slogan goes; “What do you want your sports to be?”

The Best Winter Sports Sunglasses
The Best Winter Sports Sunglasses
With winter right around the corner, many outdoor enthusiasts are looking forward to spending the short days in the fresh powder. There are many outdoor sports to enjoy: Skiing, snowboarding, winter camping, ice climbing, skating and sledding are just some of the choices for winter sports.
But what about eye protection? There is a lot of glare that comes off of the snow that can cause severe eye strain by the end of the day. There is also the concern of keeping the eyes sheltered from the cold air and possible particles that can fly up at any time.
Which sunglasses are the best for snow sports? There are two things that are the most important to keep in mind when making this decision.
The first factor is how to help you view your surroundings. In the wintry outdoors, you are surrounded by three basic colors: white and gray. In addition, the white is extremely reflective. The sunlight that shines down bounces off of the snow as efficiently as off of tiny mirrors. Your mother told you never to stare at the sun, but when you’re on a snow field, you really don’t have a choice; the sunlight is everywhere.
The best thing you can do is wear sunglasses that absorb most of the glare, and polarized sunglasses are by far the best purchase to make in this regard. By eliminating both the reflected sunlight from the snow and the diffused sunlight that comes directly downward, properly polarized sunglasses remove the strain from your eyes and provide an incredibly clear view. There will be no need to squint, and whatever outdoor activity you are participating in will become more enjoyable.
Polarized sunglasses work by literally chopping off the light waves at an angle perpendicular to the glare. This allows plenty of light in to view your surroundings, but the bright spots disappear. You can tell if you have true polarized lenses by turning them in a circle. If the glare returns and disappears again, the sunglasses are polarized. If you have two sets of polarized glasses and look through both of them at the same time – with one pair held at right angles to the other – you should see almost nothing. The first pair of polarized sunglasses will let the wavelengths through from one angle, and the second set of glasses will eliminate those waves.
The second important factor to consider when buying sunglasses for the snow is the design. Wraparound lenses offer the most protection from the cold and unexpected flying particles. Most regular sunglasses are relatively flat and allow air and particles to easily get in from the top and sides. Just because the lenses are larger doesn’t mean that the sunglasses are heavier; most glasses designed for sports are very lightweight.
The material that is used in the frames can also be considered, but this is more important for extreme sports, where the strength of the frame may come into play. Aluminum frames are very light and strong, but since aluminum is a metal, it can become cold in the winter air and some people may object to the feeling. Acetate frames are made from a very durable plastic that is used for racing helmets and other protective uses. Since plastic is an insulator, the temperature of the frames does not change much, and these sunglasses can be much more comfortable to wear, especially in extremely cold weather.
To summarize: The best sunglasses for the snow have polarized lenses, a wraparound lens design, and have frames that are made from either acetate (or some other durable plastic) or aluminum.
Whether you are looking for polarized sunglasses, replica sunglasses or just sunglasses in general, The Sunglass Man has a wide selection of eyewear for sports and fashion.

Sports On Pc – Never Miss, Leave Home Without, Or Pay To Watch Any Sporting Event Again!
If you are a sports enthusiast like me, the Internet should be part of your sport channel/video arsenal. The up coming NFL season is near and missing a popular game could be something you will regret later. Therefore, to ensure that nothing ever goes wrong, you should have the capability to watch sports on your PC also. It makes a great safety-net that ensures never missing any sporting event Worldwide.
Granted the Internet delivers unlimited streaming TV channels, radio stations and videos to a computer. But there are 1000s of Worldwide sport channels and videos that can be accessed with a stroke of a key. If you ever get caught somewhere without access to a television, your sports on PC center will ultimately save the day.
Whether or not Internet television and videos have ever sparked an interest, the general consensus is watching Internet TV and videos using a computer has reached a Worldwide appeal, especially among the young (18-30s). But the question is why pursue this if you already have Satellite/Cable TV and big screen entertainment center? Well, there are a few really great advantages here that should be given some serious thought.
Watch Sports on PC – Next Best Thing To Paid TV
For instance, imagine you are somewhere and didn’t have access to a television set or happen to stumble upon one but it was being shared by others who didn’t want to watch the sporting event you wanted to see. Perhaps you may recall this happening at a relative or friend’s house, at college, on a trip, etc. When using the Internet and a PC with a broadband connection, it actually becomes an extra TV set.
The only thing you need to do is find a sporting event of interest when getting access to a sports website. All of these sites include schedules to watch sports on your PC which display the times, dates, and events, including links where to start watching them. Simply click the link and watch the event.
Whatever is of interest–baseball, football, sports soccer online, tennis, boxing, hockey, martial arts, college sports online, nascar racing, horse racing online, etc., the entire sports World becomes your oyster.
Suddenly, you have created a super way to watch sports on your PC that can deliver any favorite sporting event at an instant. It is totally free and legal to watch sports this way. You can even choose to pay a small one-time fee to gain access to (for instance) any NFL game previously aired. Just imagine if a sporting event was blacked out locally, Satellite subscription didn’t carry a game, or no paid television to watch a particular game.
Creating your own system to watch live sports on your PC offers many benefits. You get more savings, variety, freedom, flexibility and mobility when watching Internet sports–whenever than traditional television. In addition, this also means getting access to free movies of any genre, old/recent/current/popular television shows and episodes such as CSI, 24, Fringe, Terminator, Star Trek, Family Guy and 1000s of other entertainment from around the World.
Free Internet content includes, but is not limited to, premium, HDTV, and on-demand channels such as, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, BBC, Discovery, free-HBO, free-ESPN, sports channels and 1000s of other channels from Countries such as US, Canada, UK, and Australia (78+ Countries in all) in different languages.
Searching where to watch sports on Your PC isn’t exactly childsplay but can be made easy when using what is considered to be a newbie-helper. Free Internet content caters to all ages, genders and nationalities whether living at home or on-the-go lifestyles. When using a laptop with an Internet broadband card, this creates a mobile TV to take anywhere doing your travels.
As a result, this also eliminates arguing over the remote, sharing a television set with others, kids/wife/girlfriend/parents hogging the TV, traveling without a television, or having to work and missing a big ballgame. Your PC connects to the Net and will bring more exciting sports media then any traditional television will allow.
The sports on PC technology is here to stay and offers an array of possibilities, not just for the young but for older adults as well. The Internet can deliver 1000s of Worldwide radio stations including sports radio online, music and whatever else to your PC.
So if there is a Satellite TV, big screen entertainment center, or just a regular television set in your household, creating a sports on PC system and connecting it to a television adds another dimension. Surely, this will create quite a sports arsenal that any enthusiast would admire. And for those who are less fortunate and don’t have one or any of the above, creating an Internet Sports computer system offers the next best thing.

Sports Watches on the Fly
Sports Watches on the Fly
Many people look into the watch if they’re simply into being fit, but it’s important they know their features and you pick the best one for your needs.
Technology as of late has improved dramatically, and ones watch can have all kinds of interesting additions you may not be aware of. Waterproof a watch that’s safe from the effects of water are crucial if you are a diver, or swimmer, or you deal with water. And although most sports watches say waterproof, most aren’t that effective, some are only protected in shallow water.
Research carefully before buying, if you are a swimmer, look for something that can deal with depth. Heart rate monitors are actually pretty pricey by themselves, but many sports watches come equipped with them now! And you don’t have to worry about placement, it’s already in the perfect spot to measure your heart rate (your wrist).
People who do the usual cardio could really use something like this, because even when one owns a separate heart rate monitor, it doesn’t get much use as it’s not very convenient. The watch on the other hand, is extremely convenient for heart monitoring. Not to mention, if you have heart issues, that watch can be a very valuable tool for your health. GPS System Is it really possible? Can you really have a GPS on your watch?
Sounds too good to be true right? It’s not, GPS systems have managed to get extremely tiny. And it’s not too extravagant, many people may think a watch with GPS is spy territory, but think about it, a device like that on your watch can save your life when hiking, dealing with trails, or find yourself lost outside the car (assuming it has GPS). Logs and Records Some advanced watches can actually take note and remember your speed, heart rate, location, and more.
That feature is perfect for anyone training, you won’t need to drag someone along anymore to get your distance, times, etc. That’s a big deal, you can spare your partner and get this training done on your own! Many watches can even remember the specific places you’ve ran, routes you were taking, and even past workouts! This means you accomplish more and do it more effectively.
Overall, sports watches have improved dramatically over the years, why not look into what you’re missing, you may be shocked at what you can do these days.
